I'm not even going to attempt to install everything again, because the problems will not cease. As I suspected it's not the HDD.

The next step will be to replace the microprocessor.

At this rate, I expect to have a working desktop pc somewhere in.. 2020. *yawn*

Edit: And I intended to make a nice birthday card for [info]riona_chan since I can't afford a decent present, but because my new inkt cartridges haven't arrived yet I can't print anything, so I can forget about that as well.

Seriously, fuck it. I'm this close to throwing this cursed peace of Microsoft failure out of the window. Can't anybody send them an e-mail hate bomb about that new msn of theirs? It's fucking UGLY and I can't downgrade anymore.

Tomorrow my pc will go back to shop we got it from, and they're going to replace the C drive in the hope that the problems will stop after that. So I spent all evening cleaning up my documents and deleting everything that can be missed in order to get to a bare minimum of about 150 GB, the amount that fits on my external harddisk. Movies, anime I had left and things like that are all gone. Most important is that my music and images will be saved, but I can't help but shake the feeling that I missed stuff. Previously they always transferred my data by loading it onto a new drive directly and it never failed; it always took about a week before I got my pc back but I have data on here that dates from 2004, the year we got a new pc with internet. But this time I have to do it myself, so I can have it back on thursday. There goes another weekend to adjust the thing back into the old state.. I'm getting so tired of it, I already had to do it barely 2 months ago when they attempted to fix those problems which just came back. Harddisk problems? Pff. Seems farfetched if you ask me. This thing is just thoroughly fucked up.

All the fixing they will do is under warranty, and if the problems aren't solved by replacing the harddisk, they will replace other parts one by one. Shisasu, it's like searching for a needle in a heap of straw as the Dutch say. This machine has never functioned properly ever since we got it a year ago and I highly doubt it's just the harddisk that's giving problems. The type of errors I get are those where some programme encounters an error/exception and has to be closed down. Sometimes it's internet explorer, my antivirus, or msn, sometimes even completely random things in the system, but most of the time it's the windows explorer. It happens completely randomly. Things just stop working and shut down, and the only way to get them to work again it is to reboot. At times it works again after that; sometimes I have to reboot several times.

Man, I should've been in bed an hour ago but the transferring still has 20 more minutes to go. *yawns*

I'm tired, new Harry Potter film sucked unwaxed arse, but I'm happy I got to see my onee-chan before she left, that's most important to me~

And eekk, I just got the scare of my life. I opened my "Gackt" file, which is supposed to contain all music and vids, but it's fucking damn EMPTY. It got lost in cyberspace when they backed it up I suppose.

Thank shiisasu my ext. harddisk was up to date as I mentioned before, so at the moment I'm transferring about 70 GB from that thing back to this pc. And I think it's gonna take at least 20 minutes. +__+

Finally success. #.# I just received a letter from school that I've been admitted~

It feels good to get in somewhere without a hassle (well, excluding the bureaucratic hell that is Studielink), after the art academy fail.. I'm terribly relieved.

Bad news is that my pc, even after the system swipe, refused to boot again. Now we're back with the same old "damaged files in C" story, and I'm sure it'll take a few more days until I get my pc back in some state. *prays for her files* I'm lucky I made a backup of the most vital parts of my documents (music, pics) a few days before the crash but the whole bunch is too much for my ext. disk.

Crazy, crazy people.

They go on a short holiday and they come back with a car full of stuff; 2 giant vases (like, my height) and a giant buddha sculpture.

"It's much cheaper in Belgium!!"

Lol, of course it is. This is Dutchland, where expensive stuff becomes twice as expensive by default~

*edit*

My pc refused to boot because something in the booting system programme mechanism shite is broken. Hallelujah, what a surprise. So right now they're backing everything up and then wipe the entire system clean for a fresh start. *sigh* It's amazing that that had to happen within one year after buying the damn thing. It's good that they can fix it, but after things like this I always need an entire day to get everything running to my tastes again. Which will most likely be tomorrow. *sigh*

*edit 2*

Also, I'm finally getting somewhere with the school ordeal. I overlooked the fact that I have to get things taken care of with tuitition fees immediately. Yup, they be hungry for money.. At least we're moving to the stage where the school is contacting me instead of Studielink. Though I'm still getting silly notification mail from Studielink everyday. Wow. Bureaucracy hell. As for tuitition fees, they are €1260 for the schoolyear 2009-2010. My parents will be paying them for me in monthly terms, so I won't have to apply for a tuitition fee loan. As things are looking now though, with the room I'm eyeing in Maastricht (I'm going to check the place out this Monday) I'll need roughly €500 a month just to live somewhere and have drinks and food. The rent for that room is a monthly €420. It's in an apartment building with a lot of university students (the university is close by) and some HBO students that don't like studenthouse atmospheres (like me, lol). The room is fully furnished (BIG PLUS) and has its own kitchen. Sanitary will be shared with 5 other people, but kept clean by employed cleaners. I'll see on Monday what the surroundings are like, and if I can cross the distance to school by bike (most likely yes, so that's good). I hope I can get it, that's one more worry off my chest...

Fucking pc broke down again, I think. The trouble started when my antivirus started to act up, and when I tried to reinstall it the whole thing suddenly wouldn't boot anymore. Dad's looking at it right now but I don't think there's hope.

I swear that thing has been malfunctioning ever since we got it. They sold us crap.

I'm off to bed, I guess. *fumes*

Who would put it above Gackt to write "naughty" lyrics in JAPANESE INTERNET/MAIL SLANG?

*lolling forever*

Also, I'm on the laptop again. I think my pc has officially died, all my efforts to boot it and keep it running today faile, lol. I suspect the power supply to the thing was damaged when my brother's dog was stuck between the wires a few weeks ago, when the problems started.

Store promised they would have my new pc by the start of this week, but it's already thursday... *sigh*

For some reason nobody but my dad can manage to boot my pc. I'm sick of it and so is my mother.

Today I'm going to inform about a new pc and that laser printer I have been wanting for a while.

Here's hoping I'll have something to show up with at art academy coming saturday.
